5 Simple Ways To Refresh Your Home For Spring 2019
Spring is almost here! It’s going to be in the 70s this weekend here in Los Angeles, and you know what that means! Time to let some fresh air in and tackle all of the spring cleaning you’ve put off during the winter. We are sharing 5 spring refresh tips!
1. Add Some Color
Spring is the perfect time to play with color. Change over colors in your home. You can start with throw pillows and curtains. If you need a bigger change, check out our sofas and chairs. Top color trends of 2019 include deep greens, misty blues with a grey undertone, dusty blush pinks, and classic - almost-whites.
2. Add Fresh Scent
The first impression anyone gets when they walk into your home is usually associated with the smell. There’s nothing more comforting than a lovely and fresh smell in your home. For spring choose a lighter variety of candle scents. When planning for spring you naturally want to think light. Consider scents such as magnolia, peony, jasmine, waterlily, white oak, freshly cut grass, and hyacinth.
3. Add Greenery
Incorporate little bits of nature into your home design by decorating with plants and flowers, whether faux or real. This is the best way to add more life into your space and instantly make it feel brand new. Keep in mind if the room you’re decorating faces north and don’t get much sun, then it’s better to invest in some faux plants or flowers. Faux flowers available at Grayson Living are incredible real looking and will brighten up any space.
4. Add Some Accessories
It’s always a nice touch to update your accessories. Small pieces help to add character to any space and make the room come together. This could be as simple as moving things from one room to another to make them feel brand new. Think of re-arranging your shelf altogether or treating yourself to a new decorative accent. Remember, small changes reflect in overall look and feel of a room.
5. Clean out
We are adding some new pieces to our home, so let’s not forget to make some space for it. Go through each item in your home and decide if you want to keep it or get rid of it.
