How To Clean Fabric Furniture? The Ultimate Furniture Cleaning Guide
We all want to keep our furniture looking pristine for as long as possible. So today at Grayson Living we decided to share our favorite tips on cleaning the furniture. If you’re looking for an ultimate furniture cleaning guide, you found it!
How to clean fabric couch?
Usually, fabric furniture requires only a vacuum session once a week. Just make sure to use clean vacuum attachment so you don’t leave any dirty stains on your couch. Make sure to wipe your vacuum head clean.
How to clean stains out from fabric furniture?
It’s really important to remove the stain as soon as possible - if you let it sit, it’s always a lot harder to remove a set stain. Grab a microfiber cloth and hold in place until all the liquid is absorbed. If the stain is still visible - you can apply water with dish soap to any leftover mark. Then let it air dry or use a blow dryer on the cold setting. Don’t use a hot setting - it may damage the fabric. If you’re experiencing some heavy soiling then it’s better to consult a furniture cleaning specialist.
Can you use household chemical cleaners on your furniture?
We would recommend not to use any chemical cleaners on your furniture. They’re usually too harsh and you may permanently stain your furniture if you use them improperly. If you have some mild cleaners at home, you can test them on a small and less visible piece of furniture to check if it won’t blemish it. Keep in mind it may not damage your furniture, but it also may not work as well as products specifically made to clean furniture.
